A Short History of the Eucharistic Miracles

In cooperation with Antonia Salzano Acutis, Curator of the Pontifical Academy Cultorum Martyrum and President of the Institute of Saint Clement I Pope and Martyr, The Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association presents in English, complete with captivating and engaging artwork, the Vatican Approved Eucharistic Miracles of the World as cataloged and designed by Blessed Carlo Acutis.

Throughout Christian history, our Lord has shown us that he is really present as the Blessed Sacrament. Interestingly, many Eucharistic miracles have occurred during times of weakened Faith. For instance, many Eucharist miracles have taken place because someone doubts the Real Presence. This page includes descriptions of just a few of these miracles. All of them have received full approval from the Church.

Most Eucharistic miracles involve incidences in which the Host has transformed into human flesh and blood. As Catholics, we firmly believe that the consecrated Host is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord, under the appearances of bread and wine. These miracles, therefore, are not just symbolic, but a tangible manifestation of Jesus’ Presence in our world.

“Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here, and see my hands; put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.’ Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.'” (Jn 20:27-29)
